Juliet Abonyi sees herself as lucky to have been a Jumpstart scholar. She sat for her school leaving certificate exams April/May 2015 and also wrote her UTME exams March 2015. With her determination, God’s help and Jumpstart Academy, she was able to score 299 in the UTME exams.
Juliet became a Jumpstart Scholar during her SS2 in the year 2013 and since then, her whole life has undertaken great change. According to her, “Jumpstart academy is into helping young people discover their potential, develop it and become the best in every area of their life.”
Being a scholar of Jumpstart Academy has helped her improve academically, morally, and socially. She says she sees life from a brighter perspective and is exposed to life changing opportunities everyday.
Initially, she didn’t want to write UTME but after she was advised by one of the tutors to try it out, she considered writing and she as well as other scholars willing to write this exam were sponsored by the academy. She immediately told Omotola (JSA founder) who then ensured she was duly registered for the exams.
Juliet did all in her power to prepare as she tried her best to solve past questions and study necessary text books. The academy did all possible to adequately prepare the scholars and also took them for a CBT training to ensure they were familiar with the exams modalities.
Juliet travelled to OAU, Ile-Ife with the help of Jumpstart to be able to write her UTME examination. After the exams, she returned home to await her result while being anxious and apprehensive. Juliet scored 299 out of a possible 400 and holds the highest score in the UTME in the academy and also the highest in the Oyo state, Nigeria.
According to http://www.jambresultng.com/ 24 students score above 250 in the 2015 UTME exercise and we are really happy to have two of our Jumpstart
Academy scholars to be part of this. The other scholar is Fada Emmanuel who scored 252.
