At the 2014 World’s Greatest Problem Solvers Conference in Boulder, Colorado, Omotola Akinsola and Madelle Mbong Kangha talked about JumpStart Academy Africa, and organisation they started to equip, educate, enable, and empower high school students in Nigeria and Cameroon to become the catalysts for social change not just in their local communities but also in Africa and across the globe.
The academy curriculum teaches youth leaders to view themselves as change agents by equipping each young person with the hard skills needed to make an impact. With a curriculum emphasizing leadership and entrepreneurship, Mentor Fellows, university students and graduates, teach and show high school students what it takes to be a leader.
