JumpStart Academy Africa scholars sworn in as United Nations Junior Parliamentarians

On August 11, two JumpStart Academy Africa scholars, Vanisa Beri Nfor and Freedom Mbun from Government Bilingual High School Ndu were sworn in as United Nations Junior Parliamentarians representing the Northwest Region.

The swearing in took place at the Internation Relations Institute of Cameroon in Yaoundé.

Vanisa and Freedom were selected from millions of young people after a nation wide application and interview process.


The UN Junior Parliament for Cameroon seeks to build youth leaders and diplomats who are able to influence Cameroon positively.


It was created through a partnership between the United Nations Association for Cameroon and the National Youth Council.
As Junior Parliamentarians of the United Nations Association for Cameroon, Vanisa and Freedom will work with the National Youth Council to identify specific needs of youths in their communities.
