Estella possesses a wealth of experience spanning over 3 years from leading organizations such as the KwaZulu-Natal Research Institute for TB and HIV (K-RITH) in Durban, South Africa and the Biotechnology Centre of the University of Yaoundé 1 in Cameroon.Estella’s leadership journey begun when she enrolled at the African Leadership Academy (ALA) after emerging as one of the top performers at the Cameroon National GCE O-level Examinations. At ALA, Estella was a recipient of  the” Malaika” Award for Self-Leadership and the Founder’s recognition for most proactive student at the Academy. She also served as a tutor for students in  local communities, providing them with support in Math and Science.  Currently, in her 5th year of Medical School at the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Buea, Estella is a Recipient of the Presidential Award for Academic Excellence. The First ever female President of the Buea University School of Medicine Students’ Association, Estella was recently selected to represent the University of Buea at the Federation of African Medical Students’ conference on the “Evaluation of Millennium Development Goals” in Arusha, Tanzania.She is Fluent in English with a working knowledge of French and IsiZulu.

 An Economics teacher, Terence has a wealth of experience working in local and international development initiatives. He has worked as a Peer Educator at the Cameroon Association of Social Marketing and Director of training for Junior Chambers International at their Bamenda branch. Terence has also worked as a Development Volunteer and Secretary General at CAMNAFAW (Cameroon National Association for Family Welfare) where he led the Bamenda Regional team in the fight against HIV/AIDS. He recently attended the Global Teachers Conference in Uganda and Kenya on Entrepreneurship development hosted by Educate! Terence holds a Masters of Science (MSc) in Health Economics, Policy and Management from the Catholic university of Cameroon Bamenda and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Human Resource Management from the University of Dschang. He also holds a Dipes 1 in Economics Sciences from the University of Bamenda Higher Technical Teachers Training College.

Lovert is a physics and mathematics teacher with over 3 years of teaching experience. Hes was recently appointed as a Physics Supervisor in the GCE A Level Examinations. Lovert has worked as a volunteer resource person for Youth Alive Club Cameroon where he engaged in field programs as a facilitator, reaching out to target youth groups with sensitization on HIV/AIDS and behavioral change. Lovert holds a Dipes 1 in Physics from the University of Bamenda Higher Teachers Training College. He is also a lay counselor; fluent in English with working knowledge of French.

Nini is a Medical student at the University of Buea, Cameroon. Born into a society where there is a great need for assisting one another, she has always had the desire to help people be the best they can be; inspiring them spiritually, financially and most of all providing mentor-ship in studies. Through Jumpstart, she is able to reach out to young Cameroonians at the contact point of their needs-to inspire them create positive change in their immediate community.

Edna Mesue Emade, Summerset Bilingual High School, Buea

Edna is a management Student at the University of Buea. She is a Jumpstart Academy Africa alumnus from the inaugural class. As a JAA scholar, Edna received several awards including the entrepreneurial and leadership award. Edna has served as the Secretary of the Academic Club at the University of Buea as well as the General Organizer at the University Of Buea Association Of Management Students.

Edna has a passion for the arts and has a very creative mind. She currently runs a social enterprise which trains young girls in design, art and craft. The revenue generated helps these young women raise funds for their education whilst providing them entrepreneurial and leadership lessons.


Martial Naoussi Kuitche Iselin, Government Bilingual High School Muea

Martial is a dynamic and engaging young man with a strong entrepreneurial spirit. His journey as a servant, learner, leader and mentor began quite early after, having refused after high school to follow the set pattern in society, and to be contented with the status quo. With a strong passion for youth development, Martial is a motivational speaker, giving talks at schools and he also offers preparatory classes for high school students. He is currently in his final year of studies at the University of Buea where he is pursuing a BEng in Software Engineering. He is also the founder of “The Goodies Market Place”.

Frankline Meh Kum, CCAST Bambili


Frankline’s life story has been that of overcoming obstacles and challenges, and he loves breaking new grounds. A JAA alum from the inaugural class, Frankline is a second year student at the ENSET-University of Bamenda. He is training to be an Accounting teacher. Frankline is a passionate educator who understands the value of entrepreneurial leadership. As a JAA scholar, Frankline received Awards for Academic Excellence and Leaderhip.



Usman Sundze, Government High School Baba 1

Usman has been teaching history for the past 15years. Usman is presently a GCE Advance level examiner and the Head of Discipline at GHS Baba 1. Usman is also a Member and the Coordinator of NAFI,the  Director of Muslim youths for Baba 1 and Ngoketunjia Division.

Irene Neh, Government Technical High School Chomba

A teacher at Government Technical High School Chomba, Irene is a youth leader with a passion for entrepreneurship. She holds a DIPET II in quantitative management techniques.  Irene is currently pursuing a Masters in Business Administration with a focus on strategic management.

Nathaniel Kebuya Nganchi, Government Bilingual High School Downtown Bamenda

Nathaniel is a passionate teacher at Government Bilingual High School Downtown Bamenda, where he is currently the Head of Discipline. Nathaniel is also a tutor at HIPDET & NTTTIC, an examiner for HND in Cameroon and the founder of CAPIET, a summer mentoring program for youth.

Eugene Ngafi Manyoh , Government Bilingual High School Ndu

A teacher by profession, Eugene holds a Dipes 1 Certificate and has taught for over 5 years at the Government Secondary School Njilah, Ndu. An entrepreneur from his youth, Eugene is also a farmer and he believes firmly that agriculture can contribute to economic growth. He is also a trained counselor and is currently a member of the CBC National Youth Council.
